My question is does anyone do this periodically, and how does one know when one should bring out the vaseline? I've also heard a reference to vaseline in the a Leica M book that came out recently. In the book the author was making a reference to using vaseline on the lens mount. I wonder if regular house hold vaseline is adequate?
