You may wait until friday and make a WTB (Want-To-Buy) post on this list. This is maybe not as cheap as a bargain at the well known internet auction house, but definitely more trustable. The auction house lists a lot of used Leica lenses, but offers less security (though I have not made bad experiences there, but others have). Cosina Voigtlander: The 2.5/35 is an excellent lens ($250 for the classic LTM version incl. M-adapter, or $320 for the M-mount Pancake II version). The classic 35 with round hood is horribly compact! If you're on a tight student budget as you said, this might be the best solution for now. You can still buy Leica glass later. I started this way too. Other solutions are the old Canon LTM lenses, but the 2/35 for instance sells for more than a new Voigtlander 2.5/35, has an odd filter size (40mm), and the hood is hard to find. The cheapest solution are the russian LTM lenses, they cost less than a LTM-to-M adapter. But the Jupiter-12 (2.8/35) for instance is, afaik, not really recommendable on a M6, as it's protruding very deep into the camera body, and I'm not shure if the lightmetering still works correctly with that lens. But I've heard of many Jupiter 50mm users (Ju-8 2/50 and Ju-3 1.5/50) who like to use these lenses on their Leicas.
