Well, send your negatives/print along with the camera to illustrate
the problem if you send it away for this.

Try a consumer film, particularly if you're using a consumer lab. The
professional films might not like the treatment they get at a quick
lab (that might be a little sloppy). I don't know what Kodak calls
their films now-a-days, they're all pretty good. Try out a roll.
