For the last half-dozen years my profession has been high-end IT 
administration management at leading-edge tech companies. I've observed that 
90% of the cream of the crop of IT technical experts have Macs as their 
personal computers, and put a Mac on their desk if their manager allowed it. 
At my last 3 jobs, the typical desktop contents of the top IT experts at a 
company was 1 state-of-the-art Mac and 1 beater PC.

This is probably not true at more ordinary companies that use IT but don't 
try to push it.
