Bill, you say you're shooting from 10 or 20 feet - are you shooting from that distance because you want wide scenes? Or are you shooting from that distance because you don't want to get close to your subjects? Do you want your subject to be small, or do you want to create the illusion that you were close to them? Are your subjects people, or are you shooting buildings and cars? Are you going for scenes, or for individuals? Only you know what lens you should use.
