I'm thrilled to hear that you're using it, rather than keeping it on a shelf. One warning about Rolleis: be careful when taking flash pictures. About thirty years ago I borrowed my Dad's Rolleiflex (an Automat 1950) for a photo session at the Central Park Zoo. I packed up the camera along with flashgun (the kind that attached to the internal bayonet of the Rollei taking lens) and a box Sylvania 5B bulbs. At the elephant house I loaded a bulb into the flashgun, did my guide number calculations, and snapped a picture. The bulb flashed, almost simultaneously exploding as well. The elephant was not amused--she reared up on her hind legs, and sneezed all over me. As I said, be VERY careful taking Rollei flash pictures. Just to share with all of you good folks: "Santa" just delivered my "new" Rolleiflex 2.8F, and a lovely piece of work it is. This roll of Ilford XP2 is burning a hole in my pocket, so I'd better get it loaded and do some shooting while the sun is out. Good way to end the year and begin a new one. Peace to all of you, and in the world we share.... May the new year bring us courage and joy.... Ken ------------------------------------ The Rev.
