It offers much better image quality than your D100, uses all the ridiculously cheap AI Nikors that will give you a signature look over all the DX zoomers out there, and will not be discounted any time real soon as the demand is very, very heavy. I think that Nikon did not get near the sales out of the D2X that they thought they would, and are getting far more than they expected from the D200. It is a very competent tool that will make you money over the D100 as the file sizes will go over with stock agencies with no rezzing up. Really, for NIkon shooters, it is the camera to use.
