The III series is so fiddly to use, that I think the only way to use it at all is with a 50mm lens, and using hyperfocal focusing. Even a Minolta 35 Model II with its combined Viewfinder/Rangefinder (and dioptre adjustments) is easier to use. I have all both the cameras, as well as a IIIf, and this is based on my experience with all three.
