The blockhouse/pillbox in this photo: http://gallery.leica-users.org/album177/Blockhouse200512 is one of an interlocking line of such smaller pill boxes and blockhouses which run in a line across the hills and valleys around here. A friend lives in a house that was once the area headquarters It has been very instructive for me.
