B.D.

I don't agree with you. You make is sound like photography is a very
trite endeavor. I'm very passionate about photography. I love everything
about the craft. I always have. I like looking at any photographs, but
the ones that stay with me didn't come from an "oooo, look at that -
SNAP" approach. There was a little thought put into them.

Horse shit, David - Photography has always been, "oooo, look at that -
SNAP!" Which explains why 99.9 percent of all photos taken - keep in
mind
that, to steal a phrase from the late Carl Sagan, there are "billions
and
billions" of photos taken every year, if not every month, by everyone
from
three-year-olds with disposables in their hands, to the folks on this
list
who take photography very seriously indeed. The "trend in photography"
has
always been "see anything" and "take a picture," and unless one is a
real
master with PS or other image manipulation programs, the average
worthless
photo remains that, no mater how much manipulation it gets.

By the way, when the Polaroid came out did you suggest calling
photography
using Polaroid cameras and film "polography?" :-)
