thanks, karen...I never knew of Tower other than for Nicca...I appreciate  
the suggestion and I'll look through my Minolta and Konica files to see 
what's

Are you sure it's a Tower case for Nicca?  Tower (aka Sears) sold a  
large number of OEM rangefinders under their label. So it could be 
for a  Minolta Tower or a Konica  Tower.
