I've just acquired a very nice 3.5cm/3.5 LTM Summaron with the A36 front for my 1926/27 factory converted Leica III No. 4387. Luckily I have the Leitz b/l finder already. However, I do not have the A36 Elmar/Summaron hood, which I think goes under the interesting Leitz code of FOOKH. I do have a spare A36 5cm Elmar hood, and I'm just wondering whether I can get away with it without the Summaron vignetting, especially if I use it without a filter, which presumably would add quite a bit of depth anyway. If some kind person has a FOOKH out there, would they mind measuring its overall depth (in mm.) so I can compare it with the hood I have.
