My first child's wedding is coming in May or June (depending on whether they are married at sea on a tall ship or in a church). I told the couple flat-out that they need to get their own wedding photographer, but I have been asked to shot casual pictures IF I WANT TO. Now wedding receptions are my idea of hell incarnate on Earth but I know I have to be social and support my wife while we try to deal with all the food (we are both on medically supervised fasts and will probably still be on them at the time of the wedding) so I can't just escape and look for great angles. Still, I'd talk to people about what your art means to you and how you can bring something to the wedding beyond your mere presence that will help provide lasting memories.
