I bought it to take my camera and a small lens on my trips, without UV and without the shade is really small. I appreciate the quality very good, I think it has a special nice contrast. All these pictures (or almost all) I've shot in Lisboa with the late Elmar 2,8/50mm: http://www.photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=462925 I hope this helps Saludos desde Barcelona Luis -----Mensaje original----- De: lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org]En nombre de Steve Barbour Enviado el: viernes, 24 de febrero de 2006 16:45 Para: Leica Users Group CC: MUG; LEG Group Asunto: [Leica] 50/2.8 Elmars... Is there any optical difference between the old chrome 50/2.8 collapsible Elmars of the 1950's to 1974, and the newer 50/2.8 Elmars which were issued starting sometime in the 1990's... Does anyone experienced in using these lenses see any differences in the photos from them? Which vintage is preferable if in good shape, and the cost not considered? I appreciate your advice, Steve _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group. See http://leica-users.org/mailman/listinfo/lug for more information
