Your shots look fabulous. If I can find the shot I took, I'll send it to you offlist. You are getting some very good results with the HP5+. I never had very good luck with it in the past, but am beginning to think that using meticulously fresh developer would have benefited some of my otherwise good pictures. XTOL looks pretty good after a year in filled, tightly capped bottles, but I'm not sure if it turns colors when it begins to oxidize. I still have some HP5+, and may give it a shot using D-23. Also, you have some pretty attractive subjects. ;-) Jeffery Smith New Orleans, LA http://www.400tx.com -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jsmith342=cox.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jsmith342=cox.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Daniel Ridings Sent: Thursday, March 02, 2006 7:27 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] Jupiter 8 Russian Lens Comments Hi again Jeffery, Those were both with the Industar, the first one was wide-open. The film is Ilford HP5+ processed in Kodak HC-110. It's a combination that sounds terrible, but it works so well for me I have a hard time shaking it off. I usually expose it at 640 (one notch down from 800) and develop it for a little bit over 7 minutes in dilution B (I agitate the seventh minute instead of just pouring it out). I don't have a _lot_ of experience with the Industars, I only have two of them, but I've been lucky I guess. The collapsible one is a really nice partner with the Leica IIIf when I want a coated lens and a little more contrast.
