Subject: [Leica] OT - Zeiss Ikoflex Question

I'd ask John Van Stelten if he can work on it. He doesn't list that model as
something he repairs, but he has been able to fix things for me that aren't
on that list. You might fire him an email.

Subject: [Leica] OT - Zeiss Ikoflex Question

I just took possession of a Zeis Ikoflex Favorit (last model) TLR. The
shutter seems to be jammed, but I have read that there are many interlocks
on this camera. I know the finder hood has to be open to fire. I have not
put film in the camera as there seems to be no film sensors that need to be
tripped. The film counter never movers when I wind the knob. The shutter
does not fire using the side trigger or the top cable release shutter. It
hardly moves, like it is still locked. I found an on-line manual for a
much older model, but that didn't help much. When looking at the camera
from the front, there is a nurled lever at about the 8 o-clock position of
the picture taking lens. I was assuming this was the shutter cocking lever,

but it does not seem to perform any function when I move it. Does anyone
have any suggestions for this Rollei 3.5F guy to try? Camera looks like it
is in great shape.

Aram
