Brian,
I used to use Imageprint with a Epson 1290 to avoid metamerism on B&W 
prints. After getting the Epson 2400 with the K3 inks, I see no need to 
ever go back down that route as the out of the box B&W on this baby is 
just as good. Added to which they have a decidedly unfriendly and 
expensive support policy. If you really want a RIP, try Roy Harringtom's 
Quadtone RIP first, its only US$50...
