You could stroll around in the early AM, cuttting puns with Caesar and Cicero and Ptolemy and the like, not to mention knowing all of those grand literary figures such as Catullus and Livy and Sallust personally, not to mention that evening you and Vergil spent imbibing Falluscian wine. Your later exploits with Horace and Tacitus speak for themselves, though I will mercifully omit to mention that time that you and Plautus, back in 236 BC, hit the town and .... well, I must not reveal confidences you have given me about your background. My heavens, but you have had a grand life, and long may it continue. You truly are the Eternal Photographer, and thank you for being so. <again, he grins, and quite broadly -- but, then, Ted was there at the beginning, and he is living proof that a clean life and a refusal to drink Scotch will lead to a long life. Of course, they only HAD Scotch for the past 1500 years or so, and I can sugget that his other vices were too far in play by the time distilled spirits appeared on the scene to have had much of an attraction to our venerable Ancient Photographer.> Marc msmall@aya.yale.edu Cha robh b?s fir gun ghr?s fir!
