My R8 and SL are almost noisless by comparison. I still agree that it is very well built, and performs quite well. Used it for a Flyball tournament last weekend. Only problem is the 18-200 kit zoom was a bit too slow for the lighting, even with the D200 set at iso 1600. Not quite ready for 3200 iso yet, as noise is pretty high, even for me.. I am going to try the DMR trick for higher iso work to see if it works for the D200 also. Gene
