The Blue Ridge Parkway is currently closed between Waynesville and 
Maggie Valley because of a rock slide, but that should be cleared up 
by November.  Most of the beautiful leaves will be gone by November, 
too.  You'll be about a month too late for the brilliant 
colors.  Here are the acid-ruined

It's still a spectacular drive, though.  Have fun!
