Visit the Sheep Meadow for a quick taste of the country in the midst of the city. They've even restored the Carousel, I understand. These days, of course, you can't just go to enjoy the scenery, you have to have planned activities. See: http://www.prospectpark.org/index.cfm When I was a kid growing up on the south side of the park, it was where we went to take walks, play ball or go for a row on the lake - wasn't much else to do - but still *the* place to be on a quiet (no stores open then) summer Sunday afternoon. I still remember the taste of Cracker Jacks eaten as the Carousel whirled. Enjoy the place. Take lots of pictures. If there ever is a LUG meeting in the Park, let me know and I'll be there in a instant. Nostalgically yours, Dick >It seems I have a new home just in time for taking off for the Wetzlar >Meeting.
