Get your hands on a 5D, click that zoom into the mount and go shoot some close-up, portrait-type stuff at f/2.8. Or, shoot close-ups of nearly anything, for that matter, just go for bokehesque background. Why? The 1.6-crop-factor sensor hobbles this thoroughbred glass. Use it full frame and let the big horse run. If you have an 85mm f/1.2L in the stable, let it out, too. If that doesn't relieve your digital malaise, try going superwide on the 5D.
