And, yes, the fireman against the orange sky is far more dramatic and 'heroic' if you will than the brownish sky. There is, of course, the very real possibility that the sky was orange and the sun was bright, and the photographer blew it. But if that's the case he should have had to common sense - given his previous problems - to tell his editor what happened, and turn in his RAW file and the jpg he had reworked.
