After the file name KH05240, for example, there should be a dot and then the file extension. With Canon it's something like CR2 or CRs, with Leica the files are .dng. If you have the downloaded the free converter from Adobe that converts manufacturer's RAW files to DNG, you can convert your files and then open them in any program. You can download that here: http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/ If that works, you should complain to Panasonic about their unreadable RAW files and encourage them to use DNG. Hope this helps. Tina
