It would be really great if digital could produce the same sort of 
shoulder that the non-tabular films are capable of, but a B&W-only 
camera would likely have a greater dynamic capability than the bayer 
pattern ones, so you'd be a step ahead already. That plus resolution 
and higher speed.

Those are definite advantages if you're going to be only producing 
B&W anyway, so April 1 doesn't enter into it, unless that is the day 
when I can get one. :-)
