I'm using an Olympus E-500, but I got an annoying lag using the E-330 and a new Canon DSLR. But perhaps my tolerance for shutter lag is lower than most. I never had a problem using the Leica or a Olympus OM 1 or 4 SLR. I guess it must be due to the focus time. Next time I'll try the manual focus mode and see if it helps. The shortest shutter lag times I ever experienced were on between the lens shutter cameras like the Rollei 35 and the Kodak Medalist. Larry Z
