I found them in a planter in front of the Rapides Learning Center where my sweetie goes to do her Nursing Lectures. (Kathy grows new nurses for you people.) When I saw these little pretties, I thought they needed recognition. They must get enough attention to grow, but I'm sure most people in that place don't give them a glance; they're part of the "tout ensemble." There's a range of flower life in this shot, and while some are young and beautiful, others are at their prime, and some on the way out. I'm posting early because I am selling my late parents' house today. It is bittersweet, but it was not a house I grew up in. My kids mostly only remember it as the only "Grandma-grandpa house." Anyhow, as I post this, I am sitting with my laptop on one knee, and Pookie the Cat on the other, Life is good. I wish you pretty yellow flowers. Look around. They are all around you. http://www.sonc.com/friday_october_27_2006.htm Regards, Sonny http://www.sonc.com Natchitoches, Louisiana Oldest continuous settlement in La Louisiane ?galit?, libert?, crawfish
