I've souped just about everything but Fuji in HC110. Years back I heated 
it up and used it for night sports and other low-light events.  Still 
have a bottle around somewhere but either use D-76 or Rodinal. I never 
minded grain and agree with you totally about that. Nowadays, if I 
minded grain I'd shoot 100 speed color and convert it in Photoshop. :-)
