Luis,

The f 2.8 Sonnar lens on the Rollei 35S is critically sharp. Modern
Photography magazine rated it as one of the best lenses ever fitted
to a P&S camera. On the other hand the tiny camera is difficult to
use without some practice. The small size makes it hard to hold
steady and the lack of a rangefinder means that you must guess focus
every shot. Shooting interior scenes is not the Rollei's strong
point. The lens must be used wide open, or nearly so. This requires
accurate focus and a slow shutter speed. Somewhat fuzzy pictures are
to be expected under these conditions. Rest assured that after you
get used to the camera and use it in exterior conditions, you will be
more than satisfied with the quality of the results.

Many professional photographers stowed a Rollei 35 in their camera
bags as an ultimate backup camera. I was fortunate enough to have one
on a three month research project in India 18 years ago when my top
of the line SLR failed under monsoon conditions. I sold two travel
magazine covers from the Rollei shots.

Incidentally, the pictures you posted looked great on my monitor.
