Seriously though, f2.8 fast enough for a normal?* What about out of  
focus effects? What about low light? When I had my Noctilux, I never  
lacked for opportunities to use it wide open and that was with 400ISO  
and what passes for daylight up here during the winter. I do not have  
a Nocti anymore (wouldn't focus close enough) but I have all the  
F1.4s and they are often humming along wide open.

Leica needs to produce a 28/1.4 asap. Upping the ISO does not give  
the same results as a good fast lens. You want your pics to pop next  
to those from the ubiquitous f2.8 zoom with mush-o-matic corners?  
Shoot your Leica lenses wide open.
