I, too, have a 35S with a 40/2.8 Sonnar. The camera sat idle for quite some time and the battery was dead. The light meter still works. (Fortunately I still have some mercury batteries for it). I lost the lens shade for it a while back. But I still have red and yellow filters that fit it. It's a great camera for bw. It just handles differently than most cameras, and that takes some getting used to. But it's worth it. It's a wonderful little camera. daveR -----Original Message----- From: Luis Ripoll [mailto:luisripoll@telefonica.net] Sent: Saturday, October 28, 2006 6:23 PM To: 'Leica Users Group' Subject: [Leica] New album Rollei 35 Hi all, I've found and purchased a nice Rollei 35S and here I've posted the firsts trials, in my opinion the lens (Sonnar 2,8/40mm) give certain low contrast, the glass is clean and perfect, but when I compare with the Olympus mju..., initially I think that Olympus is better. Here are a few examples, the film was T-MAX100 http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/luisrq/Rollei+35S/?g2_statusId=x58d68bc c <http://gallery.leica-users.org/v/luisrq/Rollei+35S/?g2_statusId=x58d68b cc&g 2_navId=x7b3569f2> &g2_navId=x7b3569f2 Thanks for looking and commenting, Saludos desde Barcelona Luis
