Brian, you know that the f1 in the EXIF data is a default and the actual 
maximum aperture is not being displayed? Of course the
camera would have no way of knowing the actual aperture used either since 
there is only the 6 bit code  (which might not be on the
lenses shown so far anyway).
Still, like a stopped clock, it will be right occasionally (the nocti)!
Pardon me if I am teaching you to suck eggs.
