I have been using a Canon EOS1Ds Mk2 and I am delighted that the M8 has appeared. It is, for me, a big improvement over the Canon. I -much- prefer rangefinders over SLRs and apart from Macro and wildlife will be happy to leave the EOS bulk at home. The mid range SLRs are nowhere near as well made as I understand the M8 to be, nor are likely to produce such good results, not least because of the lenses. Maybe for some SLRs have a level of flexibility they need but personally I don't like them as much.
