Maybe you bought the one I sold. I had the 35 1.4 L, great lens, makes a good truncheon, I suppose. ;-) I have heard this "too expensive" argument so many times with reference to the M8. Sure, the camera isn't cheap, but I don't think the price is all that bad for what you get. At least, I feel good about walking around with the camera, something I could never say about all the Canon gear I have owned. Funny story, I was at my Leica dealer a few weeks before the M8 came out. A guy in the store was going on about how expensive the M8 was and that you could buy a 5D with the money. I told the guy I wouldn't carry the 5D, end of story. Five minutes later, the guy admitted that he owned the 5D and never carried it! A camera you don't use is too expensive, not the one you use and enjoy.
