We've missed the worst of the weather although we were attacked by a viscous herd of russian thistle (tumbleweed) driven by high winds in the Amarillo, TX area. Most tumbleweed just go "poof" when you hit them but the big ones, the great-granddad size, those have small trunks and are capable of breaking a windshield. Fortunately we managed to miss those although we had an incident with a tire tread that was somewhat unhappy - our first misadventure with the Corvette. We'll need to have the air dam tweeked when we're back in California. ANYWAY.... we're in Santa Fe where the light is amazing even if it is a bit chilly. So I'm out shooting and for some reason these are the things I'm seeing. I sorta like 'em. I admit that maybe it's my desire to have an M8 because these are much more Leica images than they are Canon-style images. If there is such a thing. <http://www.idea-processing.com/Images/_L3U5756-bw.jpg> <http://www.idea-processing.com/Images/_L3U5762-bw.jpg> <http://www.idea-processing.com/Images/_L3U5760-bw.jpg> <http://www.idea-processing.com/Images/_L3U5780-bw.jpg> <http://www.idea-processing.com/Images/_L3U5770-bw.jpg> These are all shot with the 1Ds Mk II, mostly at ISO 100, with the 24-70 f2.8L lens. I only had room for a single camera on this trip. Comments are most welcome, of course. Adam
