Subject: [Leica] OT: Odd Spam Question

 Hugely OT, but here goes:

Recently I have had a large increase in spam.  The messages are easy to spot
and I usually delete them without opening.  I inadvertently opened one of
the messages and it seemed to be non-sensical text.  What's really going on
here?  The message didn't seem to be marketing, selling etc. so what am I
seeing?  The LUG must have an experienced 'net denizen who understands this
odd phenomenon.
