Customers paying for fixes seems quite a bit disrespectful. I'd be quite reluctant to take that kind of financial chance. The M8, much like the M5 may not become a must have collectible. The M5 (sorry Sonny) was a fine camera but a dog as far as sales. We all know it even if it did not deserve that fate. Unlike the M5, the M8 has definite failures. Several on the list have been relegated to the "film do or die" category. It is a misconception if I get tarred with that brush.. I bought my first digital camera in 1998 and used it for web work only. I carry Ms because their operation and capabilities fit my needs. If the higher end Nikons and Canons were not the size of redneck 4x4s I'd be using one of those. In all honesty though, to each their own. As I said, if the M8 fails so goes Leica.
