Canadian engineering surpasses any other country by far. And the glass is 
sharper in cold weather to capture dominating skating on
ponds throughout Canada.

Leitz setup shop in Canada to avoid the higher costs of manufacturing 
everything in Germany. The Noctilux was born there. I have a
90/f2 Made in Canada which is very sharp.

Your 4th version Summicron was a new optical design and lens body built in 
Canada. Later Leica moved the 35 f/2 Summicron back to
Germany when they introduced the ASPH version.
