I'm genuinely humbled by your praise, Brian - it's probably my personal favourite of the year, but it's still very, very nice indeed to hear praise of it amongst such an august group! All of this work is done quite privately. None of the judges knows who any of the other judges are, and I tabulate the results without looking at the photographs to which those results apply and without knowing which numbers come from which judges. The results can be seen in http://contest.leica-users.org/v/0611 Summary: 1st prize: Montie Talbert for "Steps from Antiquity" 2nd prize: Douglas Sharp for "Young Herring Gulls" 3rd prize: Ric Carter for "Early morning surf" Honorable mentions: Montie Talbert, Nick Roberts, Neal Friedenthal My own personal runaway favorite was Nick Roberts' entry "Jolly boating weather", but I don't get a vote. Montie, if you win first place again soon, I'm going to have to ask you to take a break to let others have a chance......
