Neal: When I opened a camera department in my electronics store, way back in the mid 1970's, I put several cameras by Minolta and Yashica on, at about 10% under cost, simply to attract attention to the opening of the camera department. To my surprise, numerous people complained that they expected some bargains... they could get those prices any day, anywhere! I closed my photo department after about 4 years of beating my head against a brick wall. In recent years the mini-lab has been the profit center for independent shops, but with the advent of digital and the subsequent rise of home printing, that last bastion of profit is rapidly disappearing. Rather sad, actually. Cheers! --- David Young, Logan Lake, CANADA Wildlife Photographs: http://www.telyt.com/ Personal Web-pages: http://www3.telus.net/~telyt
