Anything that doesn't fit those proportions will have white space with the image. Hope that helps! Best, Jim -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+jshul=comcast.net@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Luis Ripoll Sent: Sunday, December 17, 2006 4:23 PM To: 'Leica Users Group' Subject: RE: [Leica] LUG 2006 Yearbook--More than a Third of the WaytoPublication! I'm sorry Jim, I'm not expert scanning for printing, if image size should be 8,5 x 10, which is the minimum resolution needed. Thanks, Saludos Luis -----Mensaje original----- De: lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+luisripoll=telefonica.net@leica-users.org] En nombre de Jim Shulman Enviado el: viernes, 15 de diciembre de 2006 22:06 Para: 'Leica Users Group' Asunto: [Leica] LUG 2006 Yearbook--More than a Third of the Way toPublication! In other words, we have eleven submissions thus far. So, if another nineteen LUGgers submit images, I'll create the book. Deadline for go/no go decision is December 31. That means the image(s) must be e-mailed to me by then. What that requires: Send OFFLINE to jshul@comcast.net Include any description you'd like with the pic(s). Images should be in .jpg format, at least one meg in size. Full page dimension is 8.5 high by 10 wide. If your image doesn't fit these proportions, there will be white space around it. If you'd like the photographer's image with yours, send that along, too. No more than two submissions. No judging--if you send it, and if we have 30 (or more) photographers submit, it will be in the book.* "I'll be sending one", "I need to send one", etc. are kind thoughts. However, nothing beats my having the file(s) in hand. So far, several prominent LUGgers (meaning intelligent, regular posters) have sent their images. Will yours be among them? Best, Jim Shulman Bryn Mawr, PA *There is the CVS censorship standard in force. Many years ago I brought a roll of 35mm film to the local CVS, and warned them that it contained some "adult" images. The lady behind the counter said, "Anything 'adult' involving minors or animals?" "Of course not," I replied. "OK, then it's fine with us." So the CVS standard applies here as well. _______________________________________________ Leica Users Group.
