Adam just because Christmas was yesterday it doesn't mean Santa isn't keeping an eye on you for next year! ;-) Relax, breathe deep, as we do understand there are times when a"Twinkie light" is required. I am the first to admit I've blown a few situatons because I didn't use one..... and I've been in "deep glue" because I didn't. Maybe to make you feel better about the flash situation, I did a 4 day assignment, colour slide all M's, very well paid and blew the shoot simply because "I DID NOT HAVE A FLASH FOR FILL LIGHT!" :-( Trust me it was a great learning experince in the art of fill flash on brilliant sunshine days with paid models!!!!!!! The worst part? I had to re-shoot, re-hire and pay total cost out of my own pocket simply because...... I "knew it all and never use a flash attitude!" Trust me when the shoot ends up costing more than the money I thought I was to earn you learn very quickly about the value of a twinkie light at the right time. Given this was a commercial type assignment and not the usual PJ type where one tries their damndest to stay "real looking" I should have known better given the years of experince shooting in both mediums. However, we usually kind of joke it up when the flash scene is put before the LUG clan and your question is quite valid. When I've used the SF20 for fill it has worked very well. I like a tiny little twink just enough it's there but the veiwer can't really notice it. My only complaint is one can't tilt it up for bounce flash which I prefer over flash in the face kind of use. Other than as I say, for fill. ted
