I'm proud of him, and happy to get past the tuition, and stuff, but I'll truly miss him. Nearly every Friday of his college career, we have had lunch together. That's over now. He'll be 250 miles away. I still have Eric though! Here's a shot I like of Adam http://www.sonc.com/smiling_adam.htm<<<<<<<<< Sonny, The best part of this? You haven't lost a subject, "you've gained wonderful memories of a fine son!" Time well spent never to be forgotten.:-) Some of the greatest times I've had is when #2 son Scott & myself have been working together as photographers covering national and international assignments some place in the world. It's very interesting indeed as we shoot for the same client, we compete against each other...( in a fun manner.) We are two photographers working together and having a ball doing it... We are not father & son most of this time, but two shooters. Very different but positive memories. Then there's different but interesting moments when I have to say to him.... "OK this is papa san talking!" then have a "word with him" about something or other that I don't agree with what he's up to. This "papa san" conversation has gone on since his first international out of country assignment in Edinburgh, Scotland, 1986. And a few times I've had it countered back at me... "OK this is #2 son speaking!" Then he get's on my case when he knows I've been pushing to hard at the work.;-) Trust me, we never argue about what's said because we both know it's all about a different kind of caring for each other at the particular moment. So I well understand your feelings mon ami, it's quite natural when one has special times with one of their children! But the memories, oh my the memories, I'm so glad I have the experience that created them in my heart. ted
