That's what happed with blurb.com. Since I have an inherent distrust of e-mailed complaints, I began with a search to find the blurb.com number. Got it, and after navigating their voice mail system left a message on the CEO's phone, noting that a) their books look great b) their shipping stinks and c) they're in the process of enraging a group of very intelligent, very influential and talkative international photographers. Since most of their books seem to center on photography, it would make sense to placate photographer customers. Rec'd a nice call back today from Greg Dotson, SVP Product Development. He said what others have heard: there's a problem with UPS's international shipping charts, that precludes international shipments until it's fixed by UPS. No idea if that's a day, a week, or a month. To reach Greg, there's his e-mail:gdd@blurb.com I encourage all non-US customers to e-mail him and let him know that blurb.com really does need to get its international act in gear.
