Gorgeous, Doug. A candidate for a calendar right there. There is still
detail visible throughout the lightest areas here, on my
calibrated monitor.
Cheers

The California Hawking Club (falconers) is holding their annual field meet
this week in Sacramento. Among the birds present are a few of these
white-phase gyrfalcons:

technical stuff: R8/DMR @ ISO 400, 280 f/4 APO + 1.4x APO-Extender

The whitest parts of the bird look blown out on some monitors but I suspect
this is either a monitor calibration issue or because of the conversion to
sRGB. The original file shows no clipping.
