Thanks again, George. On careful reflection and archival diving, this must
have been the Summicron 50. Sadly it is with me no longer
but it grew up into the Summilux asph!
Cheers
Hoppy

George, this is the first time I have posted this one. It was such a boring
shot it never made it to the scanner before. I just
picked it on the light box for the example. The others I have before, and
some others since culled from my gallery. You are kind to
remember. No tonal manipulation at all as it's meant to be an example. The
only other thing I can think of is that it was not with
the 28. That would only leave it as the 50 summicron or my 90 Elmarit M. I
guess the fifty is possible. It just looks to be the 28
to my eye and that lens was largely permanently attached on that particular
excursion. I was shooting from a boat and using (with
the 28) an external finder and estimated focus using the inherent DOF. What
do you think, could this be the fifty? I'm back delving
into the archives now. No exif data in Velvia!

Cheers
Hoppy

Thanks Hoppy.

While I have limited experience with the Cron - only a couple rolls -
I find it almost hard to believe that the above photo was shot with
the lens without treating the corners. When I originally saw this
image (back when you first posted it) I assumed that you'd
manipulated the corners. I wonder if it is possible for vignetting to
vary according with individual specimens - seems unlikely.
