After spending hours hauling water and firewood and grinding corn for tortillas, they sit on the ground and attach their looms to a post or tree and spend more hours weaving cloth. Then they take the cloth and spend weeks embroidering it by firelight after they have put the kids to bed. The art of the weaving and embroidering is their pride.
