A few years back he refinished a Minolta XD-11 for me. First he sent me the parts to replace myself, but I couldn't make them fit. He eventually sent me three separate sets of leather trying to get a perfect fit. Then he asked me to send him the camera. It was a long wait (I actually asked some friends the same thing you've asked here), but when it did return, it was with a letter explaining that there are apparently a variety of sub-models of the camera and this one had a few unique exterior characteristics. He had created a new pattern and installed it himself - all of which usually requires an additional fee. No extra charge for any of the extra leathers or the custom job and it looked like factory work. If it's really been 9 months, I would email him or call him. I did with my XD-11 and he didn't mind.
