Excellent info.... I will try to get some from Nikon later this week.....

Nikon still uses the triangles. I have them on my D2X and D200. They  
also have plastic retainers on them to prevent them from rotating  
like the ones years ago did. It prevents the sharp entry/exit slits  
from touching and wearing on the camera lugs.
