I like your picture, and I agree with you that N.Y. is a specially very
interesting city for street photography, there are many ambients and the
people is very open. Enjoy it!

Saludos cordiales

 Hi All:
I love Chinatown in New York for "Street Shooting". Somehow I strayed from
doing what I enjoy the most. I'm not sure what caused it. I was always a
"rangefinder person" which I why I joined the LUG in the first place. I shot
*Tri-X,* developed it in first *Accufine, *then, as I recall, *Edwal FG7*.
As the kids grew, I found it easier to have color film processed and strayed
from my roots. When I switched to digital I went as far as budget
constraints would allow- I continued to buy digitals which I felt would
further my rangefinder past, or give me versatility. Since the M8 would be
too much of a budget buster, compromise has become my watchword. I had hopes
for the Canon G7 based upon specs, but was extremely disappointed.
Regrettably, the major manufacturers find rangefinder people not to be those
at which they aim their R&D. We are, therefore, constrained to either go
back to film or make do with what we have. I have dusted off my M6 and will
do some shooting with it for the first time in years. The instant image
which is my PAW 15- I shot with a G5- long ago supplemented by newer models,
but really handles the closest to the rangefinder models my psyche needs.
This is the kind of image I've always enjoyed doing. As the weather
progresses in NY- I intend to try some more. Bests: VRR
